be.boosted’s vision is to encourage ambitious students to develop and challenge the leadership style they need to drive the change they want to see in a democratic society. We believe that everybody can use their unique talents and passions to generate an impact when acquiring the right tools, skills and competencies. be.boosted helps develop these skills and supports this process with an individually adapted network, connecting like-minded people and further driving success. Our goal is to provide an environment for growth through our training and by constantly building a living and closely interconnected network of inspiring people.

At be.boosted, identifying and growing into the type of leader that we want to be builds on constantly receiving and providing feedback. When introducing and training a new skill in a variety of inputs and exercises, we put great importance on reflecting on new learnings, insights and challenges. The strength of our approach lies in the advice and support from like-minded peers who know and understand our struggles from their very own experience. be.boosted creates a safe space for its fellows to leave their comfort zone and push their limits, all the while giving each and everyone of them an honest appraisal of their strengths and areas of improvement . This honesty shows our fellows the ideal environmental for their leadership style and helps them to incorporate feedback, overcome bottlenecks and grow. be.boosted’s philosophy is built on the elements of self-awareness, ambition and personal growth.

In 2014, a handful of young and ambitious students studying Music, Physics and Psychology noticed a lack of personal development programmes teaching young leaders like them the skills necessary to make an impact on the world. Programmes focusing on academic achievements or specific communities alone were common, while inclusive and interdisciplinary environments for growth were rather rare. be.boosted was created to offer a safe environment for personal growth and for the development of innovative ideas – regardless of political views, religion or income and regardless of the field students are passionate about.. To apply the skills be.boosted builds, Model United Nations conferences – advanced simulations of the UN – were chosen as the ideal training ground to test and further develop the competencies acquired in the fellowship. At Harvard WorldMUN, one of the most competitive MUNs world-wide, the be.boosted fellows encounter the perfect challenging yet safe environment to apply the leadership style they developed during the five months of intense training and mentoring.
