be.boosted
WHAT
WE DO
OUR FELLOWSHIP
The be.boosted fellowship provides an opportunity of development and self-growth for ambitious and open-minded students, focusing on soft skills required for their professional careers. In a group of highly motivated students, fellows learn about value-based leadership, negotiation, public speaking and group dynamics in a combination of interactive online workshops and hands-on offline practice opportunities. We also provide one-on-one mentoring and alumni coaching, to furthermore support the development of every fellow’s career path.
alumni network
be.boosted fosters friendships and long-lasting connections between fellows across the globe. Thus, be.boosted does not end once the fellowship ended. Our regional groups organise regular events in places like Berlin, Munich, London and Oxford. Many alumni choose to give back to the community through our mentorship programs.
being a trainer
Those who have successfully completed the fellowship get the chance to put their leadership skills to practice by passing on their skills to the next generation of be.boosted fellows. Our trainers undergo extensive training during the summer and benefit from the guidance and experience of our senior trainers and board members throughout the fellowship.
WHO
WE ARE
aim
be.boosted’s vision is to encourage ambitious students to develop and challenge the leadership style they need to drive the change they want to see in a democratic society. We believe that everybody can use their unique talents and passions to generate an impact when acquiring the right tools, skills and competences. be.boosted helps develop these skills and supports this journey of self-growth with a unique network, connecting like-minded people and further driving success. Our goal is to provide an environment for growth through our training and by fostering a tightly interconnected network of inspiring people.
APPROACH
At be.boosted, we successfully help fellows become the leader they want to be by giving and receiving feedback in a safe-space, and constantly encouraging self-reflection. The strength of our approach lies in the advice and support from like-minded peers who know and understand our struggles from their very own experience. be.boosted aims to create a safe-space for its fellows to leave their comfort zone and push their limits, all the while giving each and every one of them an honest appraisal of their strengths and areas of improvement. When introducing and training a new skill in a variety of inputs and exercises, we put great importance on reflecting on new learnings, insights and challenges.
history
In 2014, a handful of young and ambitious students noticed a lack of personal development programmes teaching young leaders like them the skills necessary to make an impact on the world. Interdisciplinary environments for growth were rather rare. be.boosted was created to offer a safe environment for personal growth and for the development of innovative ideas – regardless of political views, religion, ethnicity or income and regardless of the field students are passionate about. To apply the skills be.boosted builds, the competitive LIMUN & Harvard WorldMUN were chosen as the ideal training ground to test and further develop the competences acquired in the fellowship.
